Portraits of Blessed Louis Antoine Ormières and Mother Saint Pascal

Blessed Louis Antoine Ormières

Feast day January 16 · 1809 – 1890

He had a dream: “Will the Guardian Angel go to other countries?”

He was a man seduced by the Gospel. He loved to say: “The Gospel, the holy books: that is our rule, our guide.”

Listening to the Word made him discover his own vocation and the social situation of his time. He relied on the will of God. His whole life was dedicated to serving the mission entrusted to him.

He deeply loved the Church. We discover his faithfulness in his writings.

With Saint Paul, he loved to say: “Each one receives a particular gift from God… To each the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good” (1 Cor 7:7; 12:7).

“My principle has always been to do good and let people talk.”

He was driven by his faith, his upright conscience and his prayer, from which he drew the strength to comfort others: “I live from day to day.”

Julienne Marie Lavrillioux - Mother Saint Pascale

January 4, 1809 – October 2, 1875

She was a woman of faith, marked by her trust in and abandonment to Divine Providence.

She taught us to look at life with simplicity, and to be visible Angels for others.

Her joy grew in the peace lived in community.

Charity and fraternal love were always a point of reference.

You must not be content to bear the name of Angel. You must be one in fact, burning with love for God
